Bridge lighting and fireworks tonight

The annual bridge lighting ceremony is tonight at 5 p.m. near The Old Cannery Furniture Warehouse.

At 5 p.m. thousands of lights on the bridge are being switched on and fireworks will go off overhead. This is the yearly event marking the start of the Christmas season in Sumner.

Typically, the crowd, which can number in the thousands, proceeds to Windmill Gardens, but this year the walk to Windmill Gardens is canceled.
