BLHS/SHS BOYS WRESTLING: Panthers land sixth

Andrew Cunningham’s second-place finish at 112 pounds was Bonney Lake High’s top finish Thursday at the All South Puget Sound League Championship in Auburn.

Cunningham lost an 8-0 bout to Ruben Navejas of Kentwood for the title.

The Panthers placed sixth out of the 31 teams, the majority representing the SPSL 2A and 3A. SPSL 3A rival Enumclaw won the tournament.

Panther Colton Tracy finished third at 103 pounds. Jeremy Sabin, 140, and Jake Lueders, 160, earned fourth-place finishes. Justin Rush was fifth at 145.

Sumner High also participated with Spartan Travis Filleau picking up an eighth-place finish at 103 pounds.
