Sumner elects new deputy mayor

Cindi Hochstatter is now the deputy mayor of Sumner.

At the first meeting of the new year, the Sumner City Council elected someone to serve as a substitute for the mayor in case he isn’t able to attend a meeting or event.

The election process passed quickly as councilmembers stated their nominations. By a vote of 6-1 Hochstatter became the deputy mayor.
