Body found in Sumner is that of Maurice Charles McCall

A body was found in Sumner’s industrial district Thursday afternoon during the search for Maurice Charles McCall, the 21-year-old man missing since a New Year’s Eve party.
Carmen Palmer, Sumner communications director, sent a press release confirming the identity.
A search and rescue team found the body around 3 p.m. partially submerged in a marshy area in the vicinity of 16th Street and 137th Avenue. The body was discovered less than a mile where McCall went missing. There were no signs of trauma or foul play, and police continue to investigate the area thoroughly.
