UPDATE: West Valley Highway still closed due to mudslide

A segment of West Valley Highway in Sumner remains closed due to a mudslide.

The slide has closed the road between 24th Street and 42nd Street.

Crews are working to clean up the mess and re-open the road.

On Dec. 12, the same stretch of road was closed between 24th Street and 38th Street, also for a mudslide.
