Panther soccer battles to 2-2 tie with Penninsula, but lose in OT

The Bonney Lake Panther soccer team battled to a 2-2 tie with Peninsula Monday night in an SPSL 3A league match-up.
In the overtime session for league points and standings only, the Peninsula
Seahawks were able to score and pick up two points for the overtime victory to Bonney Lake’s single point.
The Panthers got the scoring started with an unassisted goal by Tyler John in the 23rd minute, but Peninsula rallied right back scoring in the 28th minute.
John’s then scored again in the 37th minute on an assist by Colton Tracy.
But the Seahawks rallied again, tying up the game in the 54th minute.
The teams stayed tied at 2-2 going into the overtime, when Peninsula put in the game winner.
The loss drops Bonney Lake to an overall 4-2-3 record, 2-1-2 in league play.
The Panthers next match is Wednesday against Decatur at Bonney Lake High School.
