Comment time extended for proposed Southeast King County coal mine cleanup plan

The Washington Department of Ecology (Ecology) has added a month to a comment period announced last week on a proposed cleanup plan and legal agreement for a former King County coal mine, once used as a waste disposal site.

The extended public comment period for the Landsburg Mine site, near Ravensdale, will run through Dec. 12, 2013.

The proposed plan and related documents are available for review at:
