FELT THREATENED: A citizen contacted a police officer at 5:24 p.m. Dec. 1 after feeling threatened by a group of political protestors on the sidewalk in front of the local post office. The group was gone when the officer responded.

SHOPLIFTER: An employee of a Garrett Street business called police Dec. 1, asking that someone be trespassed from the business due to shoplifting. The individual was gone when police arrived, but police were familiar with the suspect. A no-trespassing letter was generated and was to be issued when the suspect was next seen. The business declined to prosecute.

ASSAULT CHARGES: A disturbance the evening of Nov. 30 had officers responding to a Railroad Street business. The two suspects had departed and went into a nearby bar. One suspect was arrested and booked for fourth-degree assault and disorderly conduct. The second suspect was cited and released on the same charges.

ARREST WARRANTS: Officers responded at 5:41 a.m. Nov. 29 to a report of a man with a flashlight attempting to gain entry to a Gossard Street home. The man then headed, on foot, toward Griffin Avenue. When contacted by police, the man said he was out exercising. He was then arrested and booked due to outstanding arrest warrants.

THREATS BY EX: A city woman contacted police late Nov. 29, telling of threats and harassment by her ex-husband. She was advised to contact the court system regarding a no-contact order.
