Enumclaw’s Dunning aims for slot in district tourney

The Enumclaw High boys tennis squad placed 10th in the 16-team North Puget Sound League tournament.

The tourney, which concluded Oct. 16 at Auburn High School, advanced the top seven finishers — in both singles and doubles play — to the coming West Central District tournament. District action will take place Oct. 26-28 at the Boeing Tennis Club in Kent.

While every member of the Enumclaw squad won a match in the NPSL tournament, only Kyle Dunning kept his season alive. Dunning, a senior, will play in the pigtail round Thursday, hoping to land a final slot into the WCD tourney. His EHS teammate, Easton Tandecki, is the first alternate.
