With limited opportunities to watch Enumclaw High football in person, the staff at the Enumclaw Expo Center has come up with a creative alternative.

On four Friday nights, the center will livestream Hornet games in the Les Schwab Hall, providing a big-screen experience complete with food trucks and a wine-and-beer bar.

Rene Popke, the Expo Center’s executive director, said there will be four special evenings for Hornet football fans. Events are planned for March 5 (when EHS travels to face the Orting Cardinals), March 12 (host Foss), March 19 (host Washington) and April 2 (host White River in the annual Battle of the Bridge).

While setting up the watch parties, Popke must obey the existing Phase 2 rules that govern local restaurants. That means capping attendance at 25 percent capacity; at the Les Schwab Hall that means 200 people tops. Picnic tables will be set up and only six people can sit at a table, from no more than two households.

To keep an accurate count, there will be no walk-up customers. All tickets are $7 and must be purchased online by visiting enumclawexpo.com. Only six tickets can be purchased at once; however, tickets for all four games can be secured during a single visit to the website.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for the viewing events, with kickoff following at 7 p.m.
