The city of Enumclaw is seeking additional funds to finish Boise Creek Six Plex lighting upgrades.

According to a staff report for the April 27 meeting, the council will be requesting $400,000 from the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office to light fields one and two.

The city received a budget estimate in 2024 but “unanticipated costs” means more funds are needed.

Enumclaw plans to use budgeted impact fees and an additional $200,000 to be earmarked in the 2027 budget for the project, for a total of $800,000.

Action on authorizing the city’s Park and Rec department to apply for the grant will come April 27, after print deadline.
