PRO RODEO
The Enumclaw Pro Rodeo is one of Enumclaw’s biggest events of the summer, and the Enumclaw Expo Center’s bleachers are packed every year with wide-brim-hatted fans of bareback riding, tie down toping, barrel racing, and mutton bustin’.
This year’s rodeo is Aug. 28 – 30.
Gates open on Friday at 4 p.m., 3 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. Sunday.
There will be live music along the arena events, with the likes of Aaron Crawford (4 p.m.) and Santa Poco (9 p.m.) performing on Friday and Kage Dallas (4 p.m.) and Cody Bartels (9 p.m.) on Saturday.
General admission tickets are $30 for adults, $15 for kids (3-12), and $20 for seniors and first responders for Friday and Saturday; general admission tickets are $25 on Sunday.

SUMMERFEST
Maris Farms’ annual Summerfest events are Aug. 1 – 2 and 8 – 9 to celebrate the pinnacle of the season. The farm will have its usual fare and activities, from the mega slide and obstacle course to the sunflower and zinnia fields and tractor rides, but new this year will be a butterfly house, a build-a-buddy and Farmer Strong stations around the farm, and field day Blue Ribbon competitions. SUMMER CONCERTS
Enumclaw’s Concerts in the Parks series continues at Rotary Park every Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. through the end of the month.
On Aug. 6 will be the South End Boys; Aug. 13, Chris Stanley; Aug. 20, Amber Pizl; Aug. 27, Aaron Saliba.
Buckley’s Tunes by the Trail events and concert series at the Youth Center Lawn is also still going strong.
Kids events starts at 11 a.m. On Aug. 6, The Gumballs will be playing a live concert; on Aug. 13, magician Louie Foxx will be performing; and Aug. 20 is the bee’s knees with V’s Bees, a bee education show.
Concerts start at 6:30 p.m. On Aug. 6 will be Catch A Wave, a Beach Boys tribute band; Aug. 13, Rolling Stones tribute Gimme Shelter; and Aug. 22, ZZ Top tribute El Loco.
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT
Out Plateau communities are hosting National Night Out events on Aug. 4 so communities can get to know their local first responders.
In Buckley, the event will be held on the Buckley Youth Center Lawn from 6 – 8 p.m., featuring a community BBQ, a dunk tank, and touch-a-truck opportunities.

SINGLE EVENTS
Aug. 5
“Mario Galaxy” movie: The Ten Trails neighborhood is hosting showing of “The Super Mario Galaxy” at Civic Park on Aug. 5. The movie starts at dusk. This is a BYOB (bring your own blanket) event.
Aug. 6
EHS Reunion: The Enumclaw High School will be having a reunion lunch on Aug. 6. The event is for former students who graduated 50 years ago or more. The potluck will be at the high school; the cafeteria will open at 11 a.m., and lunch starts half an hour later. The annual event is normally held on the second Thursday of August, but a scheduling conflict forced the change.
Gardening advice: The Enumclaw library is hosting an “Ask A Master Gardener” event from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 6. This is your opportunity to get free advice from certified Master Gardeners for your lawn, garden, and anything else green and growing.
Aug. 7
Community Garage Sale: Ten Trails is hosting a community garage sale event from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 7 – 9 at the Welcome Center. There will also be food and dessert trucks at the event.
Aug. 8
BOOZY Bingo: The Enumclaw Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Boozy & Brunch Bingo event on Aug. 8, starting at 11:30 a.m. (and going until bout 1:30 p.m.). This is a 21+ event. Table price of $249 is for up to six people (one “ticket” is a table for six). Tickets come with 24 bingo cards, 6 daubers, a bottle of Prosecco, orange juice, a breakfast charcuterie board from Bordeaux Wine Bar, and Kettle Muffins. No tickets will be sold at the event. Aug. 19

Summer Sunday on Cole: The city of Enumclaw is hosting its third Summer Sunday on Cole Street event on Aug. 23, from 1 to 6 p.m. This event features vendors, food, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities. This is also the Enumclaw Pro Rodeo kickoff week with a Kage Dallas concert from 3 to 5 p.m.
RECURRING EVENTS
Brewskis with a Newsie: Come meet your local journalist on every first TUESDAY (new day) of each month from 5 to 6 p.m. at The Dusty Shelf (in the back). Coffee with the Mayor: Enumclaw Mayor Anthony Wright hosts a Coffee with the Mayor on the first Mondays of the month from 9 to 10 a.m. This is a casual session for citizens to meet with him and discuss issues, concerns, and projects.
