After more than a week of weather-related delays, the EHS tennis team defeated Bonney Lake 3-2 Friday.
Dan Milat won 6-4, 6-1. The doubles team of Kevin Johnson and Michael Lucarelli won 6-3, 6-3 and the doubles team of Perry Rockwood and Anthony Chynoweth won 6-4, 7-4.
It was the Hornets’ lone victory having dropped a 5-0 contest to Lakes Sept. 21 and a 3-2 match to Decatur Sept. 22.
Against Decatur, Patrick Putman and Lucarelli paired up to win the first and third sets 6-4, 7-4, while Rockwood and Chynoweth also won the first and third sets, 7-5, 6-4.
