The exchange brought some of the area's top high school wrestlers together with athletes from Japan for the exchange.

Defending state champion Hunter File and state runner-up and Kario Wallin spent Jan. 10 wrestling against the top wrestlers Japan brought to the mat at an all-star event at Emerald Ridge High in Puyallup.

EHS state second-place finisher Josh Musick was also invited, but unable to wrestle do to an illness.

The cultural and wrestling exchange featured some of the top high school wrestlers in the area against a freestyle team from Japan.
