Santa's visits

Firefighters from East Pierce Fire and Rescue, Pierce County Fire District No. 1 and the city of Sumner will be accompanying Santa Claus during his neighborhood visits around the area.

The firefighters also will be collecting donations for local food banks.

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Santa will be traveling to South Tapps and 191st Avenue East, Jenks Park, Lakeridge Drive, Tacoma Point, Quiet Waters and Tapps Island.

Santa will be looking for children of all ages from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Inlet Island, White River Estates, Spring Haven, Sky Island, Panorama Heights, Willowbrook, Ponderosa and Cedar View.

Santa will visit Sumner from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Dec. 13.

Dec. 16, also from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Santa will be found at Fir Ridge, Rhododendron Park, Cedar Ridge and Prairie Ridge.

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 17 Santa will be at Russell Wood, Cascade Trails, Summerhill, Finlandia, Sunset Meadows, Eagle Crest, Mount Rainier Heights and Evergreen Pond.

Santa will be in South Prairie from 5 to 9 p.m Dec. 18, the Sierra area from 5 to 9 p.m. Dec. 19, and in Wilkeson Dec. 21, also from 5 to 9 p.m.
