During the Jan. 5 workshop of the Bonney Lake City Council, newly-elected council members were sworn in by Judge Jim Helbling. Taking the oath of office was Randy McKibbin, Council A-Large Position 1; Donn Lewis, Councilmember Ward 4, Dan Swatman, Councilmember Ward 1, and Mayor Neil Johnson.

Swatman was elected as Deputy Mayor.

Named to committees were Councilman James Rackley, Lewis and McKibbin to the Community Development Committee, while Councilman Mark Hamilton, Councilwoman Laurie Carter and Councilman Dan Decker will make up the Public Safety Committee.

Rackley will serve as chair of CDC and Hamilton will chair PSC.
