DRUNK DRIVER: A citizen notified police shortly after midnight Oct. 6, reporting a vehicle was weaving and traveling at a slow speed on state Route 410. An officer followed and observed as the driver was guilty of several lane violations, drifting from the median to the shoulder of the road. After continuing to driver over the fog line, the 27-year-old driver was stopped. He appeared intoxicated, but refused to take a field sobriety test. He was then arrested for driving under the influence, cited and released. His vehicle was towed from the scene.

SHOPLIFTER CAUGHT: An officer responded to an SR 410 location at 6:03 p.m. Oct. 6 after hearing of an alleged shoplifter fleeing from a store. Once in the area, the officer observed a woman running, with a store employee chasing her. Once stopped, the woman admitted she attempted to steal a tube of Neosporin. She was cited and released at the scene, with orders to stay away from the store.

RAINIER ASSAULT: An officer was dispatched the afternoon of Oct. 3 to Rainier School following a reported client-on-client assault. Statements were taken and the case was forwarded for investigation.

IMPAIRED, CRASHED: Officers were called the afternoon of Oct. 3 to a state Route 410 address, the location of a two-vehicle collision. One vehicle was found sideways in the roadway, partially blocking the westbound lane, with major damage to the driver’s side of the automobile. The scene was photographed and both drivers were treated by emergency medical personnel. The driver responsible for the accident was arrested and processed for driving while under the influence.
