Trail conference scheduled

One of Sumner’s longstanding projects is its trail system and anyone interested in the ongoing work may want to attend an event hosted by The Forever Green Council Nov. 12.

The organization is committed to building a trail system linking the communities in Pierce County, according to its mission statement.

A trail advisory committee consisting of 20 members includes Sumner City Administrator John Doan.

The conference includes updates on local trails, breakout sessions and a keynote speaker.

The conference is from 4 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. at a location in Puyallup to be announced. For more information call 253-845-2973.
