After losing the first game, 25-23, Bonney Lake regained its composure and won the next three games 25-11, 25-11, 25-15, to beat Franklin Pierce 3-1 in South Puget Sound League 3A volleyball action at home Sept 30.
Allison Hills led Bonney Lake with 10 kills, while Chelsea Merkel dished out 24 assists.
Ashley Reisen added eight assists, seven digs and served seven aces. Karyln Edwards had 11 digs.
In a nonleague match Sept. 28 at home, the Panthers handed Capital a 25-18, 25-22, 25-22 loss.
Hills and Danielle Norton paced the Panthers with 10 kills each, while Merkel recorded 33 assists. Taylor Watkins added seven kills. Defensively, Edwards scooped up 23 digs, Merkel had 11, Hills nine and Norton six.
Bonney Lake hosts Lakes Thursday and Peninsula Tuesday in SPSL action.
