Jennifer Francis, the city of Bonney Lake’s Permit Coordinator, was recently named ‘Member of the Year’ by the Washington State Association of Permit Technicians at their annual conference.
“We are extremely fortunate to have a staff member of Jen’s caliber within our organization. This award is indicative of Jen’s commitment to her profession and to the citizen’s of Bonney Lake,” said Community Development Director John Vodopich.
Since coming to the city in April 2007, Francis has been instrumental in developing the City’s Permit Center within the Community Development Department and has assisted the Public Works Department in developing and implementing a Civil Permit process for the City. She has also created a Procedures Manual for the Permit Center and instituted a weekly project status meeting that brings together all individuals involved in the permitting process to review the status of each active permit.
She has been very active with the Washington State Association of Permit Technicians (WSAPT) throughout her career and has been a member of the Association for ten plus years. She has chaired and co-chaired the Peer Committee for six years and most recently started a Permit Supervisors Group that includes representatives from 12 cities.
