Pierce County’s first official new resident of 2011 made her appearance just after midnight on New Year’s Day.
Alaina Darlene Leifeste was born at 12:04 a.m. Jan. 1 at the Birthing Inn in Tacoma to Stephanie D. Kaydus of Bonney Lake and Doug Leifeste of Enumclaw.
Voters on Tuesday will decide to continue funding about 16% of their districts’ budgets.
The district’s Board of Directors has its hands full with two large projects.
Approving another year-long moratorium on Feb. 9 would give a Planning Commission subcommittee more time to examine the issue.
