Sumner make-up days set for May

Students and staff in the Sumner School District will lose their four-day weekend at Memorial Day due to the two snow days from the Thanksgiving week storm.

School closures on Nov. 23 and 24 will be made up May 27 and 31, as per the weather make-up days listed on the district calendar.

May 27 will be a full day of classes for all grades K-12.May 31 will be a full day of classes for grades 6-12 only. This is because Nov. 24 was scheduled as a teacher workday in the elementary schools so the day does not need to be made up. Other school dates may change if there are additional closures this winter due to weather.
