BLHS SWIM AND DIVE: Panthers to host Gators

The Bonney Lake High girls swim team returns to its home water for a South Puget Sound League 3A meet Thursday against the former Class 4A Decatur.

For the Panthers, it will be just the third meet of a season that is more than halfway complete, and its first in the Sumner High pool which has been closed.

The Panthers found themselves on the short end of a 144-39 league contest with powerful Peninsula Thursday in Purdy.

Coach Ruth Conrad said her young team is making progress.

“The girls swam great races,” Conrad said. “Everyone had faster times.”

Bonney Lake competed with 19 other teams at Friday’s Autumn Relays at Rogers High in Puyallup.

Bonney Lake hosts Enumclaw Oct. 7 and closes out the regular season on the road with Lakes Oct. 14.
