A stabbed garbage can, trespassing and tempers flaring at a lacrosse game

ENUMCLAW

June 20

– Enumclaw officers were sent to Buckley to assist with three separate incidents. At 9:47 p.m., police learned of a domestic dispute possibly involving a weapon. The incident was settled upon police contact. An hour later, an Enumclawn officer was sent to Buckley to assist that department with someone who was damaging property on Main Street. In the end, no action was taken. Earlier in the day Enumclaw police had traveled to Buckley to help with traffic control during a funeral procession.

– Police were alerted at 1:30 a.m. to noise coming from an alleyway in the vicinity of Lafromboise Street. An officer responded and contacted two individuals, one of whom was verbally trespassed from a nearby convenience store. After being told to stay away from the store the person was given a ride home.

June 19

– At 11:27 p.m. police learned of a possible fight occurring at a Railroad Street location. It proved to be verbal only and the person responsible for the altercation had departed. No action was needed.

– A patrolling officer witnessed someone returning to a Griffin Avenue business he had previously been ordered to stay away from. The individual was contacted and given a criminal citation for trespassing and released to a parent.

– Police received multiple, late-afternoon calls from citizens concerned about a man wandering around while wearing only a hospital gown. Officers were aware of the situation, knew that the man was not a threat to himself or others and knew he was not experiencing a mental health crisis.

– A traffic complaint was received just after noon concerning vehicles parked on Griffin Avenuue, east of Blake Street, that were blocking the view of oncoming traffic. Officers responded and confirmed the vehicles were legally parked. The reporting party was going to contact the city with his concerns.

– An individual was arrested by Enumclaw police due to a warrant issued by another agency and was to be transferred to the SCORE jail in Des Moines. The person was not cleared by medical personnel and was instead transported by police to St. Elizabeth Hospital. The Buckley Police Department was notified.

– An officer stood by during a morning “unmask our children” rally at the downtown Loggers Legacy Memorial.

– At 1:12 a.m. police were called to St. Elizabeth Hospital due to an unwanted individual in the emergency room. The person was contacted, booked and released for interfering with a health care facility.

June 18

– A firearm was surrendered to city police at the request of the court system. The exchange was completed and a receipt was forwarded to King County Superior Court.

– At 1 p.m. an off-road vehicle was seen parked on Cole Street. An officer left a message for the registered owner, advising that driving an ORV on city streets is a violation of the municipal code.

– A citizen told police of a dog left in a parked vehicle. An officer found the vehicle was in the shade, with windows rolled down and water provided for the pet. The dog was not in distress.

June 17

– A parent contacted police, concerned about an adult son who was wandering around Enumclaw. An officer provided options and discussed situations in which law enforcement could get involved. The officer said the son’s welfare would be checked if her was located.

June 16

– Police were alerted to a high school lacrosse game where tempers were flaring. An officer stood by as the teams left the Enumclaw Expo Center.

– Police responded to assist a man wanting to harm himself. The individual was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital for an involuntary commitment.

– A report was issued concerning an unwanted person at a Stevenson Avenue location. An officer made contact with both the reporting party and the unwanted individual, who was advised to gather up personal belongings and move along.

– Police took an afternoon call regarding someone who had stabbed a garbage can. An officer responded and the guilty party moved along.

June 15

– An individual complied with a court order and surrendered firearms at the police station. A letter was sent to the court system, with a copy emailed to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

BLACK DIAMOND

June 20

– At 5:32 p.m. an officer attempted to make a traffic stop in the 29100 block of 232nd Avenue Southeast. The driver did not comply and, instead, fled at a high rate of speed. The officer did not pursue the vehicle which was later spotted pulling into a nearby residence; a man exited the vehicle and ran into a greenbelt. The vehicle then headed off in an unknown direction. Police had no further information about the vehicle or the suspect.

– Officers spotted a vehicle illegally parked in the 22500 block of Southeast 296th Street. It was impounded and removed by a towing company.

– At 9:26 p.m. police were dispatched to the 29000 block of 220th Place Southeast after a noise complaint was lodged. Residents of the area reported a large firework had been detonated nearby and noted it was an ongoing issue. Officers arranged for additional patrols of the area.

– An officer responded to Enumclaw to assist with a search for a burglary suspect (or suspects) in the 45200 block of 288th Avenue Southeast. The search was unsuccessful.

June 19

– Police were told at 11 p.m. of excessive noise coming from a residence on Union Drive. Police arrived, advised of the city noise ordinance and the loud music was turned off. At 6:30 p.m. someone had complained about loud music at a Third Avenue location; it was turned down when police arrived.

– Someone lodged a noise complain stemming from juveniles playing basketball in a private park at 10:27 p.m. No crime was being committed but an officer took the opportunity to introduce himself and ask the juveniles to keep the noise level down; they complied.

– Officers were called to assist emergency medical personnel who were at a 229th Place Southeast location tending to a patient who was being uncooperative. After police arrived the individual agreed to be transported to a medical facility.

June 19

– Police learned that another law enforcement agency had detained an individual found to be wanted on a Black Diamond warrant. After the warrant was confirmed the suspect was booked into the SCORE jail in Des Moines.

– After hearing about the theft of automobile parts, police responded to the 31200 block of Third Avenue. The suspects had left the area but were soon located by officers. They were briefly detained, but were released when the victim arrived at the scene and said he would not press charges if the suspects paid for the parts. Payment was made and police departed.
