Sept. 30

– Officers were called to Jewell Street around 10 a.m. to a report of a vehicle prowl. It appears someone took a backpack containing a firearm and other personal documents.

– Officers returned to Jewell Street around noon due to another vehicle prowl; this time, a backpack with a laptop was stolen.

– A suspicious person was seen wandering around the McKean Court apartments taking photos around 1:30 p.m. Officers arrived after the subject left, and advised the reporting party to call them again if they returned.

– A 5:30 p.m. traffic stop on Roosevelt Avenue resulted in the driver being arrested and booked on an Enumclaw warrant.

– Officers attempted to locate a man that was seen on abandoned property on 244th Avenue SE and SE 468th Street around 5:30 p.m. It was determined the property was outside city jurisdiction.

– Around 8:30 p.m., a report came in about two subjects going through a trash receptacle on Roosevelt Avenue. They agreed to move along after officers approached.

Oct. 1

– Officers were called to Buckley around 5:45 a.m. to help the BPD locate a possible injured bicyclist on SR 410. Officers were unable to locate the cyclist.

– The Black Diamond Police Department requested assistance during a welfare check involving a firearm around 10 a.m. While responding, the call was down-graded to routine, and then cancelled.

– The at-fault driver of a two-vehicle car crash notified police around 10 a.m. that the victim driver did not stop after the collision. The driver gave his information to officers, just in case the victim decided to make a report.

– Around 11 a.m. a sign blew over on Roosevelt Avenue, partially blocking traffic. Officers righted the sign.

– An anonymous report came in around 11:30 a.m. about a subject riding his dirt bike up and down Alpine Place. Officers were unable to locate the subject or the bike.

– Officers received another report of someone riding a dirt bike on Kibler Avenue and Gossard Street around 2:30 p.m.; this time, it was reported a child was in the rider’s lap. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– Around 3:15 p.m., officers received a call about a subject walking in the middle of Griffin Avenue and Railroad Street with a shopping cart. Officers found the subject in a nearby parking lot and advised him to stay out of the road.

– Officers received a 911 hangup call from a cell phone around 3:45 p.m. The number was traced back to a Larsen Avenue residence, and officers were able to make contact with the resident. The resident said he just left to go to the store, and the call was accidental.

– Officers responded to a call about a vehicle blocking the entrance to the U.S. Forest Service Building on Roosevelt Avenue around 4:30 p.m. It was determined the car was disabled and the issue was being addressed.

– Complaints about speeding vehicles during the monthly car show on Cole Street were made around 4:45 p.m. Officers sat in the area to provide a presence, and other vehicles obeyed traffic laws.

– Around 6 p.m., officers were alerted to a theft of a three-wheeled bicycle from Buckley the previous night. The victim’s family informed officers that it was recently seen in Enumclaw on Cole Street and Griffin Avenue. A subject was later found around 10 p.m. on Lowell Place, and the bike was taken into custody.

– A Monroe Avenue business called police around 10 p.m. because they believed a customer may have taken some items.

Oct. 2

– Officers responded to a call about a possible boat theft on Florence Street around 4:15 a.m. After recovering the boat, the registered owner called police looking for the vehicle around noon.

– Around 8 p.m., officers received a call about someone worried their dog was stolen. The incident occurred outside city limits, so officers directed the caller to theKing County Sheriff’s Office.

Oct. 3

– Officers were called to Battersby Avenue to a report of an assault at the skate park around 3:15 p.m. The issue was settled on contact.

– A welfare check was requested on a subject lying on the Griffin Avenue sidewalk around 3:45 p.m. Officers made contact with the individual, who was awake and had food and water.

– Officers received a report of a possibly impaired driver on Stevenson Avenue around 4 p.m. Officers found the driver, who was having a medical issue.

Oct. 4

– A tractor trailer hit the awning of a Griffin Avenue building around 10:30 a.m. Officers took down a report.

– Officers responded to a report of a possibly impaired driver that pulled into the Columbia Bank around 3 p.m. It turned out the man was not impaired.

Oct. 5

– A complaint was made about two subjects loitering outside Seattle Sun Tan on Stevenson Avenue. Officers made contact with the subjects, who agreed to leave.

– A verbal argument on Watson Street turned threatening around 5:30 p.m. Officers took down a report.

Oct. 6

– A report of a Hazel Place vehicle being spray painted overnight was made around 6:30 a.m.

Sept. 28

– Officers responded to a 12:30 p.m. call regarding a skateboard being stolen from a Granite Court front porch. The reporting party showed officers footage of the skateboard being stolen, but the footage failed to show the suspect’s face.

Sept. 30

– Officers were on patrol in the Lawson Street area around 3:30 p.m. when they came across a single-vehicle crash. The driver was cited for driving too fast for conditions and the car towed.

– Officers performed a welfare check at a 3rd Avenue business around 10:45 p.m. It was quickly determined no crime had been committed, and officers assisted the individual with getting medical treatment.

Oct. 1

– Around 10:13 a.m., officers responded to a report of a man passed out behind the wheel on Morgan Drive. It was quickly determined the subject was under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested; additionally, a firearm was found in the vehicle, and the individual was also charged with a felony possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

– Officers received a 8 p.m. report of a four-wheeler ATV riding around Railroad Avenue and Baker Street. The reporting party told officers the driver was transporting two kids without helmets, and that one kid fell off the ATV, which then ran over her ankle. The driver then picked up the child and left the area; officers were unable to locate.

– A 9:15 p.m. traffic stop on 3rd Avenue resulted in a motorcycle driver being arrested for driving under the influence.

Oct. 2

– Officers responded to a 5:15 a.m. report of a boat being stolen off Florence Street in Enumclaw. Officers assisted the Enumclaw police in checking the area for a suspect who fled on foot. One suspect was detained after the boat was recovered.

– Police received a call about a lost cell phone around 1 p.m. Luckily, the phone had been placed in the police station’s drop box near the front door, and it was returned to the 232nd Avenue resident.

– Around 4:30 p.m., officers received a call about a suspicious person. The reporting party, who was out of town, was alerted by their security system that a person was in their driveway and looking in their truck; they activated their security system’s mic to yell at the man, who walked away.
