Enumclaw police reports July 19-20

GUNSHOT VICTIM: Officers responded to a grocery store parking lot shortly after midnight July 20 after taking a report of a gunshot victim. It was determined the incident occurred in Carbnado. Pierce County authorities also responded. The victim was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center.
BURGLARY: Police responded the morning of July 20 to a burglary at a home on Grand Fir Drive. Stolen items included a Dell computer system and Nintendo Wii. Later in the day, a neighbor called, telling police some of the stolen property was found in her son’s closet. The property was returned to the owner.
VEHICLE THEFT: Police learned July 20 of a 2005 Dodge pickup stolen from a jobsite on state Route 410. A wallet, tools and other items were taken along with the truck.
MALICIOUS: There were four reports issued early July 20 involving spray paint/tagging. One was to a Watson Street motorhome; two were to Roosevelt Avenue buildings; and a fourth was to a building on Watson Street.
WARRANT ARREST: Enumclaw Regional Hospital security requested police assistance shortly before midnight July 20, asking for help locating a subject who was somewhere in the facility. The subject was located, found to be wanted on a Maple Valley arrest warrant and taken into custody.
GOOD SAMARITAN: A citizen arrived at the police station lobby at 12:43 a.m. July 19, delivering a man he found wandering on state Route 169 in the vicinity of Southeast 416th Street. An officer was finally able to reach a relative in Seattle. Through the senior center, arrangements were made to transport the man to his relative. By 7:45 a.m., police heard the man was safely with his grandson in Seattle.
AGENCY ASSIST: Enumclaw police were contacted July 19 by Kent Police Department officers who were searching for a vehicle that had been involved in a hit-and-run incident. The identified driver had lived in Enumclaw but was no longer at the city address; current homeowners were able to provide information, which was turned over to the Kent police.
