TREE LIGHTINGS
The Enumclaw tree lighting in front of city hall is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 28. Caroling and cocoa starts at 5:30 p.m., and the tree lighting starts promptly at 6 p.m. Then you can mosey down to a night market on Cole Street and Stevenson Avenue, featuring live music and local vendors.
The Buckley tree lighting is the following day, Nov. 29, from 2 to 6 p.m. There will be a market all through the event, plus other time sensitive activites like writing letters to Santa (2 to 4 p.m.), photos with the big man himself (3 to 6 p.m.), and the tree lighting itself at 5 p.m. For more information go to buckleydowntown.com/holiday-market.

Oct. 31
Cole Street Trick or Treat: Enumclaw’s Cole Street will be shut down from 4 to 6 p.m. for the annual downtown Trick or Treat event, where businesses and vendors will be handing out candy to little ghosts and goblins.
Nov. 1
Boo Bash: Thomasson Family Farm is hosting a Boo Bash fundraiser on Nov. 1 at 3 p.m. to raise money for the Sunrise Elementary School Eagles. The event will include dancing, a corn maze, yard games and more. Tickets are $15, and can be bought at givebutter.com/BOOBASH4SUNRISE.
Nov. 7
Country Chicks Market: The annual Country Chicks Holiday Market is scheduled for Nov. 7, from noon to 5 p.m, and Nov. 8, from 10 to 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 at the door, but a free entry time is 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday. The event features more than 80 vendors with vintage, up-cycled, and handmade crafts.
Nov. 8
Danish Sisterhood Bazaar: The Enumclaw Danish Sisterhood is hosting its annual Christmas Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Danish Hall (1708 Porter Street), featuring a bakes, jams, crafts, and more. A luncheon will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the meal consisting of frikadeller (Danish meatballs), hasselback potatoes, salad, and more, plus a bunt cake for dessert.
Get stoked for the season: The Enumclaw Chamber of Commerce and Crystal Mountain are hosting the third annual Winter Stoke Block Party on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. The free event features live weather, food trucks, vendors, winter sports services, contests and giveaways, and — of course — marshmallow roasting.
Dementia support event: Calvary Presbyterian Church is hosting a dementia support event from 10 a.m. to noon inside its building. The keynote speaker is Marigrace Becker, MSW, the Program Manager of Community Education and Impact at the UW Memory and Brain Wellness Center, and the Director of the Memory Hub, and a panel of caregivers will discuss the ups and down of caregiving. Local service providers will also be present to offer information and support. The event is free, but you’re encouraged to register at calvarypreschurch.org.

Don’t wine about the weather: Rain or shine, the Enumclaw Chamber of Commerce presents its annual Wine Walk on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 4 to 8 p.m. (check in begins at 3:3 p.m.). The event features wine makers from near-and-far inside businesses along Cole Street, so you can sip and shop for the holidays at the same time. Online general admission tickets are $45 (plus fees), but increase to $55 at the door; tickets get you ten tasting tickets and tasting glass. VIP tickets are $75 (plus fees), with check in starting at 2:30 p.m. for a VIP experience from 3 to 5 p.m. with live music, snacks, a specially-created tasting glass, and five additional tasting tickets. Spurs & Sparkles Gala: The sixth-annual Enumclaw Pro Rodeo Spurs & Sparkles Gala,is scheduled for Nov. 22 at the Enumclaw Expo Center Fieldhouse, 5 to 10 p.m. This is an evening/cocktail attire event with a gourmet dinner, drinks, and live music with Aaron Crawford. All proceeds benefit the Enumclaw Prop Rodeo and various community programs and scholarships the Pro Rodeo supports all year long. We Need A Little Christmas: The Gateway Concert Band is presenting its “We Need a Little Christmas” concert on Nov. 1 (2 p.m.) and Dec. 1 (7:15 p.m.) at the White River High School Theater. The performance will include long-time favorite tunes, new original music, and more. This is also a celebration of The Gateway Concert Band’s director’s 75th birthday. This is a free event, but $10 donations are appreciated.
RECURRING EVENTS
Brewskis with a Newsie: Come meet your local journalist on every first Wednesday of each month from 5 to 6 p.m. at The Dusty Shelf (this is a new location). Square Dancing: The Spinners Square Dance Club lessons start Sept. 9, 7 to 9 p.m., at the Enumclaw VFW. The first two lessons are free.
Scottish Dancing: The Plateau Scottish Country Dancers have resumed Monday night classes and are welcoming new members. Classes are from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Danish Hall (1708 Porter St. Enumclaw). Cost is $5 per person and a partner is not required. Dances are taught according to the skill level of those attending, so beginners are always welcome! Scottish Country Dancing is a centuries-old tradition reflecting the music and culture of Scotland. It’s great exercise and a lot of fun! Come see what we do. Cascade Foothills Chorale: The Cascade Foothills Chorale is starting lessons every Tuesday this fall and winter, 7 to 9 p.m., Sept. 9 to Dec. 20, at Calvary Presbyterian Church (please note that this is a new location from last month). This all leads up to a Dec. 20 concert. No auditions are necessary, and all ages are welcome. Attendance is $50, or $25 for ages 16 to 18. Scholarships are available. Coffee with the Mayor: Enumclaw Mayor Jan Molinaro hosts a Coffee with the Mayor on the first Mondays of the month from 9 to 10 a.m. This is a casual session for citizens to meet with him and discuss issues, concerns, and projects.
TOPS Club meetings: The local Take Pounds Off Sensibly (TOPS) club meets every Thursday morning (8:30 – 9:30 a.m. weigh in, 10 – 11 a.m. meeting) at the Enumclaw Presbyterian Church and Wednesday evening (4 – 5 p.m. weigh in, 5 to 6 p.m. meeting) at the Enumclaw Senior Center Evergreen Room. Pickleball: The Senior Center Pickleball Club meets every Wednesday starting at 10 a.m. at McFarland Park for some good ol’ fashioned pickleball. This is a BYOP (bring your own paddle) event.
Griefshare: The international grief support group will start local meetings on Oct. 11 and run through Jan. 10, 2026. Led by Christine Eide, the group meets weekly with a workbook and videos.
