After meeting with residents in rural King County, the Metropolitan King County Council’s Budget and Fiscal Management Committee will host their next public meeting on the County Executive’s proposed 2015-2016 King County Budget in Bellevue:
Tuesday, October 14
6:30 p.m.
Council Chambers, Bellevue City Hall,
450 110th Avenue NE, Bellevue
More than 30 citizens met with the Budget Committee at its first night meeting in Fall City, discussing issues that included economic development, funding for public defense, domestic violence assistance and public health clinics.
All members of the County Council serve on the Budget Committee during the review of the proposed budget. The Bellevue meeting is the second of the four special meetings hosted by the Budget Committee where the public will be able to present to the members of the Budget Committee their priorities for the County’s first biennial (2015-2016) budget.
Day-after coverage of the public hearings will be available both online and on King County TV, seen on Comcast and Wave Cable Channel 22. You can also sign up to follow the deliberations on the Council’s Budget page, Facebook and Twitter.
