Letter to the Editor: “TDS” better fits president’s supporters, not opponents

The MAGA right uses a term with no basis in fact, “Trump Derangement Syndrome”, to disrespect anyone who doesn’t support their demigod.

That term, if it were real, should really refer to his supporters, because I would suggest that his supporters thinking that this: “Grab them by the pussy”; walking into a dressing room of the Miss Teen America Pageant; civilly found libel for sexual assault; 34 felony conviction, by a jury of his peers not Biden; “find me 11000 votes”; are a lying excuse for a POTUS that is everything we as a nation should never let within a mile of the highest office in the land.

Kristopher Gavin, as it is with many Trump supporters, makes unfounded and unproven accusations against Biden and his family. I don’t know if he follows the news at all but the Republican house oversight committee was salivating to get their hands on evidence of Biden’s wrongdoing while in office.

One problem, after a year and a half investigation, they found no evidence. On the other hand, when Jack Smith, the special prosecutor who looked into Trump’s wrongdoing, and was asked to testify before congress, requested that those hearings be made in public because he had overwhelming evidence of Trump’s wrongdoing and would have proceeded with prosecution if Trump had not won the presidency.

The big question for me is, why didn’t the justice department start the investigation much earlier so they could have prosecuted him years before the election became an issue? Now I have a prediction for Mr. Gavin: (“Three audacious predictions — about Elfers,” published Dec. 31) predict that if the Democrats take back the house and senate, they will immediately move to start impeachment proceedings for treason for Trump and the bulk of his administration, some of the most inept and corrupt individuals to ever hold the offices they are in.

Oh, and the reason they were trying to keep him off of the ballot, he incited an insurrection against our country. Just sayin’
