Sixteen EHS equestrians heading to state competition

The Enumclaw High equestrian team is closing out another successful season, with many teammates heading this week to state competition.

Sixteen members of the Enumclaw High School equestrian team have qualified for the state meet and will be competing this week in Moses Lake.

The state competition, under the auspices of the nonprofit Washington High School Equestrian Team (WAHSET), will take place Thursday through Sunday at the Grant County Fairgrounds,

Enumclaw teammates (and their events) heading across the Cascades are:

Kami Bullock: hunt seat over fences, steer-daubing, individual flags, drill and team sorting.

Dagney DeRohan: in-hand trail.

Chloe Eley: barrels, figure-8 poles, drill, two-birangle and working pairs.

Laura Floyd: drill, team versatility and team sorting.

Ella Griffith: drill.

Sienna Haugen: keyhole, poles, individual flags, drill and two-birangle.

Gabriyela Hernandez: barrels, keyhole, figure-8, individual flas, drill, team versatility, two-birangle, Canadian flag race and working pairs.

Olivia Hood: keyhole, drill, Canadian flag race and working pairs.

Kalyna Melnyk: reining, barrels and drill.

Brooklynn Metzger: drill.

Rylee Mulligan: poles, drill and Canadian flag race.

Teagan Schaffarzick: drill, team versatility, Canadian flag race and working pairs.

Taylor Stabenfeldt: reining, reining, breakaway roping, figure-8, team versatility, two-birangle.

Ginnie Sullivan: drill.

Abigail Stephens: drill.

Allie Weihe: breakaway roping and steer-daubing.
