Editor’s note: The following is a press release from the White River Community Scholarship.

The White River High School held its annual Hornet Honors event recognizing the achievements of the Class of 2026 on June 4.

During the evening, over 110 graduating seniors were recognized for their outstanding GPAs, volunteer hours, and National Honor Society participation. The highlight of the night was the presentation of scholarships from many different community organizations and individuals.

This year, the nonprofit scholarship group White River Community Scholarship (WRCS) had the honor of presenting 40 seniors from White River High School’s Class of 2026 with over $108,000 in scholarships that will help them pursue their dreams at two- and four-year colleges and trade schools both in Washington and out of state.

This record amount was made possible in part by a very generous donation from the Buckley Finnish Hall Association

To date, the White River High School Class of 2026 has earned over $3.2 million in scholarships.
