The battle for second place in the South Puget Sound League 2A volleyball standings took place Thursday evening when Enumclaw traveled to White River for the regular-season finale. Both squads entered the contest with 13-2 records, trailing the league champion Washington Patriots.  Both teams will take part in the District 2/3 tournament that runs Friday and Saturday and will send six teams to the Class 2A state tournament in Yakima. EHS football continues undefeated; both Hornets teams make waves in volleyball

Rugby will be returning to the Plateau in the form of Rainier Junior Rugby South. Organizer Andy Ramsay hopes to create two local teams, both coed — a U-10, a non-contact team, and a U-12.
