The Enumclaw High boys escaped with a thrilling 63-60 victory over the Franklin Pierce Cardinals the evening of Jan. 27. Playing in Chuck Smith Gymnasium, the host Hornets trailed early, moved ahead at halftime and eventually pushed their advantage to double digits. The Cards rallied however and made it close during the final minutes. Enumclaw's Carter DeRosier connected on a 3-pointer with 45 seconds to play, giving EHS its final bucket of the night and a 60-56 lead; Noah Seabrands added two free throws at the 11-second mark and DeRosier tacked on the team's final point with a free throw with just 2.1 seconds remaining.
