In conjunction with city improvement to streets and parking lots, the Thunder Dome Car Museum, seen in the background, is preparing to pave over the field behind the Enumclaw library to turn it into a parking lot. It will mostly be public use, though the museum can close it for private functions up to 48 hours at a time (up to 12 times a year, and never no more than twice during a single month), and for a full seven consecutive days once per year. A timeline on this project is not yet set, but ground should be broken "soon" with a goal to complete by summer's end, a representative of the museum said. Photo by Ray Miller-Still
