A perfect example of irony

Commentary on Nancy Crampton Brophy’s conviction.

CORRECTION: The online subhead of this letter misidentified the Oregon woman who was convicted of murdering her husband on June 13, 2022. It has been updated.

Disclaimer from the beginning here, there is nothing funny about the taking of a human life. Folks, this really is one for the books, pun intended: A woman in Oregon wrote an essay in 2011 titled, “How to Murder Your Husband,” was just convicted of, you guessed it, murdering her husband in 2018.

I think I might see her problem here, but maybe it’s just me. The way I see it, if you’re going to write about it, then maybe your chances would be better if the title of the essay had been, “How to Get Away With Murdering Your Husband”.

I don’t know this for sure but maybe she would have had a better chance in court. If there ever was a better example of irony, I haven’t seen it. Just sayin’.
