Alleged assailant arrested at workplace | BUCKLEY POLICE BLOTTER, NOV. 16-20

FALSE ALARM: Officers were dispatched to a Ryan Road business for a reported alarm at 3:22 a.m. on Nov. 16, but on arrival the building was found to be secure with no signs of forced entry. The report suggested high winds may have been the cause of the false alarm, as no other causes were readily apparent.

BICYCLE THEFT: On Nov. 18, an officer was dispatched to South River Avenue in regards to a reported bicycle theft. The reporting victim said he left his green and white mountain bike in front of the youth activity center. He left for an hour and a half and returned to find the bike to be missing. The victim could not name the make or model of the lifted property, only describing it as an eight-speed mountain bike in green and white.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT: At 6:30 a.m. Nov. 19, an officer was called to a Mountain View Avenue address on a report of domestic assault. The male involved in the dispute was determined to be the aggressor, but he was gone. The officer located him at his workplace and took him into custody there.

MISSING PERSON: At 4:47 p.m. Nov. 19, an officer was dispatched to Brierhill Boulevard to take a missing persons report. The absent person in question was the stepson of the reporting person.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED: At 9:55 a.m. Nov. 20, an officer on patrol pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation on state Route 410 near Park Avenue. The driver was found to have a suspended license, and he was issued a notice of infraction and citation. He was released, and the vehicle was released to a licensed driver summoned to the scene by the offender.

COMMERCIAL DRIVERS LICENSE NEEDED: An officer on patrol shortly after 11 a.m. on Nov. 20, observed a commercial vehicle east bound on state Route 410 near Park Avenue. It was stopped for a traffic violation. The officer escorted the vehicle to a nearby Washington State Patrol scale, and the driver was found to not have a commercial drivers license. The driver was cited and deemed out of service. The truck’s trailer was also deemed out of service. The driver was released on scene and the truck was released to a commercially licensed driver on the scene.
