• Police were called at 12:21 p.m. on July 29 regarding a possible suicide in the Cedarview neighborhood. A man apparently ran a hose from the exhaust to the inside of his car, which was sitting on a driveway, and apparently died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

HIT AND RUN

• At 4:43 p.m. July 24 police were dispatched to the 18100 block of state Route 410 for a hit and run collision. The responding officer spoke with the 20-year-old female victim. She stated she was driving westbound on SR 410 when a sport-utility vehicle attempted to turn and ran into her driver-side door. The female driver of the SUV sped off, but reportedly shouted out the window, “I have insurance.”

DRIVING UNDER

THE INFLUENCE

• At approximately 6:26 p.m. July 25, a 25-year-old female was arrested for driving under the influence. She was observed driving from the 16600 block to the 23400 block of SR 410. An arresting officer observed the woman drive over the fog line. She was driving “well under” the posted speed limit of 45 mph. The woman’s speech was impaired and the breath samples she supplied were .271 and .267. She was issued a criminal citation and released to a Buckley corrections officer.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE

• At 3:59 p.m. July 26, police were dispatched to a report of a domestic dispute on 182nd Avenue East. A 41-year-old woman argued with her 71-year-old mother. The 41-year-old stated she wanter her mother out of the house because she was verbally abusive. She stated her mother had been living with her at the residence for three years. She said during the argument her mother was in the way and she slapped her mother on the arm to get her to move. There was no visible sign of injury. The two were given a pamphlet for the Family Justice Center.

CREDIT CARD FRAUD

• On June 25 a 38-year-old man visited the police station to report fraudulent charges had been made in Italy on his business credit card. A total of $684 was charged on the card, the second time the card number had beebn used there.

BOAT THEFT

• On July 29 an officer arrived at a residence on North Island Drive East regarding a theft of a boat. A 49-year-old man reported his boat was taken between 11:30 p.m. July 28 and 6:45 a.m. July 29. The vessel was entered as stolen into the state system and the county’s Marine Unit was notified.

THEFT IN PROGRESS

• On July 28 police responded to a grocery store regarding a theft in progress. A 27-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man were attempting to remove pallets from the loading dock area with a dark-colored pickup. Police blocked the pickup from leaving and questioned the suspects. The man admitted to stealing pallets on a regular basis to support his methamphetamine habit. He said sometimes he has permission, but admitted he didn’t have permission that time. He was booked into the Buckley Jail for theft in the third degree, given a copy of his criminal citation and informed of his court date. His vehicle was impounded. There was no room in the jail for a female, so she was released after being cited and informed of her court date.
