A guilty plea, and two corrections.

GUILTY PLEA: Maple Valley resident Brandon Michael Tvedt pled guilty on Sept. 7 to vehicular homicide while under the influence, driving with a suspended license, and violating an interlock device requirement; he was charged Aug. 2022 when after a collision killed his Enumclaw-area girlfriend while driving on Highway 18 near Tiger Mountain. He has been sentenced to serve 13.5 years.

CORRECTION: The Courier-Herald mispelled the name of Stephanie Kellogg, the content coordinator for the new “Enumclaw Living” magazine. To submit content or comments, you can email her at skellogg@bestversionmedia.com.

LETTER CORRECTION: In the Letter to the Editor, “History always frowns on book burners”, published Nov. 1, The Courier-Herald mistakenly edited this letter to say Gov. DeSantis signed a 15-week abortion ban in Florida. While this was accurate, he later went on to approve a six-week ban. The online letter has been corrected.
