Washington State Patrol (WSP) troopers have seen an increase in vehicles being parked and abandoned along SR 410 east of Greenwater; specifically near the intersection of Crystal Mountain Blvd and the entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park.  This also includes chain-up areas and shoulders along the highway.

Ignoring restrictive signs could result in citations and vehicles being impounded.  It is vital that these areas remain clear for snow removal and for use by emergency and maintenance vehicles.  The Department of Transportation (DOT) has added more signs to educate drivers on areas that are restricted for parking.
