On Thursday, Sumner city councilwoman Nancy Dumas hinted at an upcoming transit proposal to be made Monday, Jan. 14. Dumas wrote, in an email sent to members of her open forum discussion group “The Table,” that she would introduce Marge Tully of the Pierce County Coordinated Transportation Coalition and Lyle Bates, CEO of Local Motion LLC.

The two guests will present a transit plan for Sumner to members of the council. Dumas invited members of “The Table” to see the proposal Monday night.

“Without giving too much away, if I tell you the service is free to everyone, ADA accessible and in order to use the service you only need to reside in Sumner… is that enough of a hook?” she wrote.

Sumner city council study sessions begin at 6 p.m. in the council chambers/municipal court on 1104 Maple St.
