Prairie Ridge Maintenance Company still looking for school supplies for Wednesday’s distribution night

The Praire Ridge Maintenance Company is once again hosting the event, which helped 135 students receive supplies last year and expect at least as many again this year.

The Prairie Ridge Community school supply distribution will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Prairie Ridge Rec Hall.

The group os still accepting donations and is still short of the following items:

• Loose leaf paper;

• Spiral notebooks;

• Composition books;

• Colored pencils;

• Pencils;

• Sharpies (currently have 0);

• Larger backpacks;

• Pencil boxes;

• 1-1/2″ or 2″ binders;

• Glue sticks;

• Pink erasers;

• Index cards (currently have 0);

• Dry erase markers (currently have 0); and

• Pocket folders or PeeChees (with & without prongs).

Set-up begins at 3pm on Wednesday and additional items can be picked up by representatives from Prairie Ridge today and tomorrow morning. Items can also be dropped off at the Prairie Ridge Maintenance Co. office located at the Rec Hall, 14205 215th Ave. E., off Prairie Ridge Drive.

The Prairie Ridge Maintenance Company is also hosting a community dinner at 6 p.m. Sept. 5 at the Rec Hall, followed by family game night until 8 p.m.

The next Prairie Ridge Community Coalition meeting will be at 11:30 a.m.  Sept. 10th at the Prairie Ridge Community Service Center, 14104 Prairie Ridge Drive.
