Austin Striplin represented the Sumner Spartans in the 2A all state game on June 21 in Yakima.

Striplin was a two way starter playing tight end and defensive end for the West team.

Sumner coach Keith Ross was the defensive coordinator for the West.

“It was a great way for Austin to cap off his stellar high school career,” Ross said. “He will go down as one of Sumner’s all time greats.”

For Bonney Lake, Cameron Goenner represented the Panthers in the 3A all state game.

Goenner played for the East starting at tackle.

The East won 12-7 over the West.

Both Sumner and Bonney Lake’s season start on Friday, Sept. 5.
