Enumclaw Girls Tennis undefeated with four regular season games left

But a tough match against Fife may end their victory streak.

Enumclaw High senior pitcher Drake Anderson prepares to deliver during the second inning of an April 6 game against the Fife Trojans. The Hornet lefty scattered five hits, struck out eight, issued no walks and allowed just one earned run during six innings of work. Despite the impressive numbers, Enumclaw fell 6-2. EHS boys took the W with a 88-57 victory over Clover Park, while WRHS took second against Steilacoom.

The White River girls jumped out to an undefeated start of the fastpitch season, going 5-0 through games of last week (4-0 in SPSL 2A play). Among the reasons was the pitching of freshman Elliotte Kajita, shown here delivering during an 18-0, home-field victory on March 22. She picked up another victory two days later when the Hornets defeated Steilacoom. Kajita didn't allow an earned run in either contest while striking out 13 and issuing just one base on balls.
