WRHS boys wrestling took 7th, Enumclaw 11th

EHS, WRHS Swarm the Stands for annual Unified Sports basketball game

Enumclaw took the win this year, beating White River 48-44.

There was absolutely no drama in the White River High gymnasium the evening of Feb. 1, when the league-leading Hornets hosted the Orting Cardinals. White River scored 56 points in the first half and Orting went scoreless the entire third and fourth quarters, contributing to a 77-8 win for the Hornets. White River beats Fife 63-16, Enumclaw trounces Steilacoom 68 - 21.

The Enumclaw High boys escaped with a thrilling 63-60 victory over the Franklin Pierce Cardinals the evening of Jan. 27. Playing in Chuck Smith Gymnasium, the host Hornets trailed early, moved ahead at halftime and eventually pushed their advantage to double digits. The Cards rallied however and made it close during the final minutes. Enumclaw's Carter DeRosier connected on a 3-pointer with 45 seconds to play, giving EHS its final bucket of the night and a 60-56 lead; Noah Seabrands added two free throws at the 11-second mark and DeRosier tacked on the team's final point with a free throw with just 2.1 seconds remaining. Julia Carter placed second in the individual vault event with a score of 8.7.
