Panthers trump Peninsula again | Bonney Lake Baseball

The Bonney Lake baseball team went a second round with Peninsula and came out on top again, defeating the Seahawks 10-4 in conference play.

The Panthers took an early lead, scoring three runs in each of the first two innings. Peninsula came back with three runs in the fifth, but Bonney Lake widened the gap with a run in the sixth and three more in the seventh. Peninsula scored one more run in the seventh.

Michael Gretler — ending the game with 3-RBI — went to bat four times, connected twice and hit one double.

Dylan Moran — with 1-RBI — also went to bat four times and connected twice. He ran to home plate twice himself.

Taiki Green was the winning pitcher of the game.

The Panthers are 4-3 in the South Puget Sound League 3A conference. They are scheduled to play Auburn Mountainview, presently the top team in the league, Friday on the Lions’ diamond.
