The Enumclaw Arts Commission continues its Evenings on the Plateau series Saturday with the Fisher Ensemble and "Dream of Zeus."

The performance, slated for 7 p.m. in the Enumclaw High School auditorium, Fisher Ensemble's "Dream of Zeus" is a new, full-length interdisciplinary dramatic work by internationally acclaimed composer Garrett Fisher.

According to city of Enumclaw Cultural Program Coordinator Gary LaTurner, the story is a spiritual journey through despair and vengeance that concludes with hope and forgiveness. The story, set in Ancient Greece just after the legendary Trojan War, explores a society's nostalgia, desire for revenge and struggle to forgive past atrocities.

The score combines the intense sound of Taiko percussion with the transcendent vocal lines of some of the region's finest vocalists.

The performance is part of the King County Performance Network with financial support from the Cultural Development Authority of King County. The Cultural Development Authority is also one of the primary support agencies for Evenings on the Plateau.

Single tickets are $14 for adults and $11 for students/seniors. Tickets are on sale at Enumclaw Parks, Recreation and Community Services, located at City Hall, or by calling 360-825-3594.
