Police warn of sex offender

The Bonney Lake Police Department has issued a bulletin noting the relocation of a sexual offender in Bonney Lake.
Michael Kenneth Sharp is a 25-year-old male who was convicted on two counts of third-degree rape of a child and attempted third degree rape.
Sharp is currently living within the 21900 block of state Route 410.
He is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds and has brown hair and green eyes.
His criminal history includes possession of stolen property, burglary, theft and numerous misdemeanor convictions for assault, escape, malicious mischief and theft.
Sharp did not participate in sexual deviancy treatment for the attempted rape in 1998. Police report he attended sex offender treatment for seven months with little gain or results during his incarceration in 2001.
He is under community supervision by the Washington State Department of Corrections.
Due to Sharp's sexual and criminal history, he has been classified as a level three sex offender. This allows the Bonney Lake Police Department to disclose relevant, necessary and accurate information to the public at large.
