Officers assist in arrest of Walmart murder suspect

Several members of the Bonney Lake Police Department assisted Lakewood PD in the arrest of a murder suspect in connection with the June 2 shooting of an amored car guard at Walmart. The BLPD officers helped bring all the necessary information into play for the SWAT team to accomplish their task.

Bonney Lake police assisted Lakewood Police Department when an armored car was robbed outside a Walmart June 2.

Two Bonney Lake detectives, one part-time detective and a detective sergeant helped with the investigation end of the case, Bonney Lake Police Chief Mike Mitchell said.

Following the robbery, which resulted in the death of an armored-car guard, police followed leads to locate and apprehend a suspect at a motel.

Bonney Lake officers assisted the SWAT team at the motel and the suspect’s vehicle was blocked.
