RUNNING RED LIGHT: Officers attempted to stop a motorcyclist who ran a red light on Sept. 9. While following officers observed other reckless driving, including driving over 100 miles per hour. Officers lost sight of the subject, but backup was able to locate them and put them in custody. The subject was booked for eluding a police officer in the Pierce County jail.

DAMAGED STARTER: Officers were dispatched to a residential address to investigate some malicious mischief. The reporting party told officers their car was damaged over the weekend while the family was camping. When they returned, they could not get the car to start. The car was inspected and it was found the starter had been damaged when someone tried to hotwire the car. The reporting party requested extra patrols in his area.
