Editor’s note: The following is a press release from the Washington State Department of Transportation.
State Route 410 has reopened between Enumclaw and Greenwater following more than two days of snow and tree removal after last week’s heavy snowfall.
Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews removed more than 100 fallen trees from this section of roadway, some tangled in electrical lines along the side of the road. Crews also plowed and treated more than 62 miles of eastbound and westbound lanes.
“The sheer number of large trees that fell during last week’s historic snowstorm required extensive cleanup and coordination along the SR 410 corridor,” said Mark Renshaw, WSDOT Assistant Region Administrator for Maintenance Operations. “Our maintenance crews worked from daybreak to sunset each day to reopen this section of highway as quickly and safely as possible.”
Both directions of SR 410 closed between Farman Street in Enumclaw (milepost 26) and Greenwater (milepost 43) on Friday, March 13, after snowfall and strong winds.
